At the Gasthof Peter in St. Leonhard in Passeier, the hiking day begins right on your doorstep. So you can leave your car with us. How about the “Sun Walk”? You will circle the north-eastern half of the village and the adjoining sunny slopes. Or what do you think of a hike to the alpine hut Pfistradalm (St. Anna)? This is a permanent settlement steeped in history. The small church of St. Anna next to the alpine hut is particularly picturesque. Another highlight is the Passerschluchtenweg Path… more information can be found below! As you can see, here in the Passeier Valley the hiking possibilities are almost endless.
Of course, you can also take part in the hiking tours offered by the tourist office. With us you get the GuestCard, with which you can use all appropriate advantages.
The „Passerschluchtenweg“ Path
Our insider tip for hiking enthusiasts (yes, also for families!) who like to discover new things!
Modern metal constructions. Waterfalls. Steep slopes. Forests and meadows. Here you will find something of everything. Built in 2015, the 6.5 kilometre long hiking route along the Passer stream is definitely an experience for young and old. The starting point is our village St. Leonhard. The destination is Moos in Passeier, which you will reach after about 2 hours. Back to the Gasthof Peter by bus!
The Texel Group Nature Park
Our tip for summit climbers and nature lovers!
The Texel Group Nature Park is the largest nature park in South Tyrol and rises in the west of the Passeier Valley. There is no doubt that the hearts of hikers beat faster here. Thanks to the less steep mountain sides, this area is suitable for almost every type of hiker. Particularly popular destinations are the Spronser Seen lakes, the Matatzspitze Peak or the Hohe Weiße Peak. The most ideal starting point for hikes in the nature park is the community of Moos in Passeier, but also here with us in St. Leonhard or in the idyllic village of Pfelders your hiking day can start comfortably!
